• The song was first recorded for AIR in the mid-1970s. Indian Record Manufacturing Company Ltd (INRECO), re-recorded the song in 1976 and released it in 1978–79.
• Rangabti is featured in the Bollywood movie 'Kaun Kitney Paani Mein'. The Hindi version of the song was sung by the singers Krishna Beuraa & Rekha Rao and the lyrics were written by Protiqe Mojoomdar. The movie was released in the year 2015.
• Rangabti is featured in the Bengali movie 'Gotro'. The Bengali version of the song is sung by the singers Surojit Chatterjee and Iman Chakraborty and the lyrics are written by Surojit Chatterjee. The movie was released in the year 2019.
